I take photos

I use photography as a way to capture the essence of places around the world, their people, culture or landscapes. I like exploring storytelling through my photos - especially photos that make you wonder, and those that add a bit of a human element within a landscape.

Through my lens, I also really like exploring patterns, lines and shadows via architecture. When I travel, many times I find myself looking up, on the buildings, their materials, designs and structures. And I like to capture and freeze those through photography to communicate it to others, so that I can inspire them too to appreciate those elements.

Patterns, shadows & lines

I’m fascinated by the intertwining of patterns, shadows and lines in architecture, and how looking at those together creates new sights. I also love exploring how those change within the day with the position of the sun and the weather.

I love observing natural patterns and lines, and I often find myself spotting similar patterns in architecture.

Life by the sea

As an island girl, I enjoy exploring the different ways that people around the world engage with the sea. Whether it’s cold, whether it’s warm, whether it’s cliffy or beachy, water always plays an important role in everyday life, and that is evident through my photos!

I also really enjoy observing the different colours & vibes (the ‘look and feel’) that dominate the coastal environment depending on where you are in the world. It’s interesting how the colour of water changes depending on where you are, reflecting the colours of the surrounding environment.
